Description

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a land of water—its territory boasts more waterfalls than some of the largest European countries combined. This three-day tour will introduce you to a part of that treasure: five waterfalls, mountain rivers and home-cooked food.

Just outside Banja Luka, at the village of Karanovac, the Svrakava River flows into the Vrbas. Svrakava is famous for its canyon, which ends at a beautiful spot where the river forms several small waterfalls. In Krupa na Vrbasu—named one of the “Best Tourist Villages in the World” by the UNWTO—the Krupa River makes lovely cascades just before it joins the Vrbas. The waterfall in Jajce is a city landmark: an amazing, over-20-metre drop right in the town centre. The Janj Islands are a tiny water paradise—natural karst wonderlands reminiscent of Renaissance gardens, with lush greenery, cascades, streams and little falls. And near Sanski Most, the Bliha Waterfall plunges from a 56-metre cliff.
